My 2005 Camry won't shift out of park without using the over ride button, what is the fix, thanks

Check your brake lights. Do they come on when the peddle is pushed? If not, check fuses and bulbs. If brake lights are not working, it won't shift out of park. Post back with findings.

My guess would be the wire harness in the trunk got pinched. Not sure if they have changed the newer Camry's, but there was that pinch point up in the hinge area.
