a/c stopped working in a mint condition Toyota Camry LE

Asked by Kelley Jul 06, 2014 at 03:28 PM about the 2005 Toyota Camry LE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Toyota Camry LE in mint condition with 46000 miles on it. I have had it maintained by the dealer. I went to get it serviced and had them check the a/c before summer settled in and the service department said everything looked great. A week later it stopped working. I worked perfectly fine the morning it stopped working. I started it up but nothing would come out. I has cold air coming out but if I turn it on low, medium or high nothing blows out. I checked all the fuses and belts, they were all good. I don't know what else to do except take it to the dealer.  I want to see what yall thought before I take it back to the dealer.

If nothing is blowing then your blower motor has failed. It is generally located under your glove box . Take a flash light and look up underneath up to the far right. If you can, wrap on the bottom of it with a heavy ratchet or something. Sometimes it will come back to life for a couple of days. But you will have to replace it.

Tried it... Didn't work .... Off to the dealer I go :( thanks for the help !!

could that blower be "knocked out" when mechanic goes to "check" the air cabin filter? (inside the glove box access). Thanks!
