2005 camy won't start

What would be most likely to
lock up and keep it from
turning over  the dash light
flicker like it dead battery but
that's not the problem  it
started went in reverse then
when I put it in drive it died

Well, for starters it sounds like the neutral safety switch is out of adjustment. An automatic transmission vehicle should only start in Park or Neutral. It should not have started in Reverse. Once you get that fixed if it still doing the same thing, I'd suspect the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) solenoid in the transmission is stuck on. This locks in the torque converter clutch and will make the engine stall as soon as you shift out of Park. Hope that helps! Jim
