My speedometer is froze at 120mph what might be the couse

Your speedo gets info from the VSS off the tranny. Sounds like something has let loose within the speedo itself. I would buy a replacement from Ebay or your local salvage yard.

Suggest you start this vehicle up . Any warning or maintenance lights ON? Use the palm of your hand any lightly smack the top of the dash in various places. Does the speedo react in any way? Then drive the vehicle down the road and again smack the dash. Get back to us with the results.
