Do a quick compression test. See if you have low compression. You may have a blown head gasket. Very strange that car started to over heat and now it won't start at all. If compression is good, check for spark and fuel. Post back with results.

Compression test. Excellent advice. While you have the Spark Plugs out, Check them closely for coolant and fuel fouling. Write down those compression test readings. Do the coolant fans run while this engine is "overheating"?
