Engine swapping 2000 Camry v6

My beloved camry got in a rough wreck recently;
like the beast she is it *could* be fixed but I feel the
better option would be to drop my engine into a
new body rather than try to mess with paying for
body work. Ideally im looking for a '99-'01 camry
body to put it in, but what other makes/models are
there that can take my engine with minimal
alterations?

I doubt you'll ever find another car similar to yours that had a bad engine and the body is perfect. In Camrys, this just doesn't happen as their engines seem to run forever.. And the cost to do what you propose isn't worth the trouble. Just sell yours to a salvage yard and show them that the wreck didn't affect the engine. You might get a grand for the car. Then go shopping. We got a "98 Camry for our son in college and he's now had it for 25 years.

I agree, junk it and move on. By the time you buy the other vehicle and pay for the engine to be swapped you can buy another, probably newer, Camry that'll be just as good, if not better, than the old one! Jim
