When it comes to prices on auto parts,
would it be more of a profit to sell the parts
of a car rather than selling the whole car
itself?

Parting out will get you more money but it is more work.

AND.....it will take more time and more storage space. ......sometimes years to finally become profitable....ultimately.....over time you will have a rusted hulk of metal that you will have to have someone cart away for...$$$$$$$. Just MO
