Chugging after exhaust manifold replacement, O2 sensor?

I just replaced the exhaust manifold on my 1998 Camry 2.2L California
Standard. Now it idles rough and chugs at around 60-65 mph. THe mechanic
said the O2 sensor can tend to foul when replacing the manifold, is this what
is going on? Any help would be appreciated.

do you have a check engine code on...do you have a code...there a are two...front one will code to that one...anyway you can try and remove the front one and spray brake clean in the hole and on the sensor end and check wires/connector and re install it..first or just change it..
It would not hurt to replace, 02 sensors can cause a lot of different things. It wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the fuel filter also.
check engine light is on but don't have a code for it yet
Who? Me? It was a beautiful day here today, I worked on my truck a bit, have a fire going in the back yard, listening to my garage stereo to good old classic rock.
I was at work yesterday, I will be heading to AutoZone today to get a code.

If I recall correctly the exhaust manifold on this vehicle INCLUDES a Catalytic Converter and a threaded hole for the front O2 sensor. If this vehicle did not have a "chug" before this repair.....then.... I suspect something is wrong with the installation. One would normally replace the front o2 sensor with a new one when doing this repair.
I got a misfiring spark plug in the 4th cylinder. Replaced spark plugs, still chugging. :(

If we now conclude this "chugging" is caused be a misfire...I would suggest performing a compression test. Check the appearance of each spark plug electrode when removing them.
