1998 Toyota Camry, Bad Alternator?

Asked by cbstevens11 Jun 06, 2015 at 02:55 PM about the 1998 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Camry with 205k miles on it. On
my way home today my ABS light and
Battery light started blinking on and off both
at the same time.  My lights never went out
or anything but the radio did keep cutting in
and out on all stations and when I went to
roll my window up it was really slow ...
Could this be by alternator?

Not sure but I would have the alternator tested because if it goes bad it can shut down the vehicle.

I would be inclined to check for computer codes then clean the battery connections and test the battery and alternator for functionality. This of course requires special knowledge and equipment. Not knowing your level of automotive knowledge and repair, I suggest you take this vehicle to an AutoZone parts store and have them check for codes and check the battery for free. Then get back to us with the results.
