1995 Toyota Camry LE 981,000 miles yes almost 1 million miles.

Car started having a starting problem.  It died at intersections and would not start.  
About 20 minutes to an hour would start.  Same thing happens when I make a quick
stop to run into a store and come back to the car in 10 minutes.  It will not start.  
Problem is intermittent.  In the last few months have put in in new fuel pump, spark
plugs and wires, distributor.  Car runs great.  Just started having this issues a few
months ago and as I said it is intermittent but very annoying.  Cannot trust that it will
start.  Once I had it towed to my mechanic because it would not start for hours.  Got
it to the mechanic and it started right up for him.

On how many engines? I am a Toyota guy, and preach about reliability and durability often. But that sets the bar, the highest I have ever heard of. On any Toyota, ever. As good as it's been to you I wouldn't start dumping money in to it at this point, geez, you can only ask so much

My '95 has the same issue. Go to start it and nothing, not a click or anything. Go out later, turn key and bang, starts fine. I figured it was the pickups in the bottom of the distributor. Never bothered to find out for sure. Could also be the ignition. It now has over 250k. Since the car is so old, I just found the ignition wire under the hood, spliced in a wire from the battery to a push button under the dash. Every time the car won't start, I just hit the push button and no longer have the no start issue. Starts every time now. I know it's not the correct way to fix it, but for $5 it's an easy inexpensive fix. Like I said, why spend the money on a new ignition or distributor on a 20 year old car? I did that fix about 5 years ago and my youngest daughter now drives it.

Yes Toyota is very good machine just keep alway care that car body are not same of other new car
