Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 55 to 60 PSI fuel pressure at rail.  Also checked spark from coil which is fine.
When starts it runs fine and can take trips over 100 miles.  I don't think it it fuel pump and has no start relay in fuse block as others have suggested.

The car turns over normal. It starts fine after a couple of hours with no other problems. Have no diagnostic codes present either. Did find that the car will start with starting fluid sprayed in air intake. Then car runs fine and you can drive over a hundred miles.

If a car starts with starter fluid its not the ignition system its in the fuel system .can you hear the fuel pump cycle? did you do the fuel pressure test when it was in a no start condition? That would be the time to do it.

The 4 and 6 cylinder have the same fuel specs @ 38 to 44 suspect fuel pressre regulator

I would agree with Steve. Find the Fuel Pressure Regulator and pull of the rubber(vacuum) hose attached. Look inside the end of the hose and see if there is any fuel in it. Also...smell the end of the hose. If you smell gas...the regulator is bad. Then...one would test the regulator.by pulling a vacuum on the regulator with a hand operated vacuum pump. BTW...I suggest you NOT try to start this vehicle without checking the engine oil for full/gas/odor. When the FPR goes bad....it often contaminates the engine oil with raw fuel.
