Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Transmission went out on my 1994 Camry.  Want to sell engine if possible so how do I go about it?  Craigslist? Ebay?  I don't want to put $1200 into tranny.  Was a great car.

Craigslist with some good pics would be the quickest sale. The price you will get depends on what part of the country you live in. If you live in New England area, you will be lucky to get $600. If you live in a non winter, road salt state, you may get $700-$900. You can always list it for $1000 and take the best offer.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that first and maybe offer parting it out at the same time. Never tried that before. I'm in Houston so no salt issues and car has no rust. Struts replaced last year.
