How many miles can I go when I have a
quarter tank of gas

you shouldn't run on an empty tank , the gas is lubricant and coolant for the fuel pump

Until you run out.... As "beatupchevy" posted, don't run the tank low (I consider low as under 1/4 tank). Running the vehicle low or out of fuel is very hard on the fuel pump.
