When shifted into drive it acts like it's in neutral.
When you try to go to first it will not go at all.

Shift solenoids, gear selector switch, TCM failure, bad transmission. A good transmission shop can do the testing to find exactly what has happened.

Typical GM transmission failure. If the transmission fluid is full it's time for a new vehicle. It will cost more to fix than what it's worth. Jim
