Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought this 90 fuel injected sammy. The previous
owner told me it had problems starting didnt think much
of it said ok and bought it.  Well back to my question
when i start it up it idles perfect. When i drive it it goes
where i want it when i want it but on the down side its only
for like 10 min. It just dies. If i let it sit for a while it will fire
back up

Once you get it to die, you will need to be able to crank it, while checking for fuel pressure and spark. It sounds like it could be a fuel pump either getting hot and stopping or getting clogged momentarily, or something else electronic(like a distributor, ignition module, something like that) getting hot and not working for a period of time. If you can verify that you either don't have fuel pressure or spark after it has died, you know where to start looking.

Itll crank all when ever it dies and i can hear the pump winding when i turn the key on. The biggest thing is when it just cranks theres no fuel coming out of the throttle body. The inline filter is brand new.

The pump running is not necessarily indicative of fuel pressure. I agree with tennisshoes, hit it with some starting fluid to see if it fires, that'll verify spark anyway. If you have pressure, you will need to test fuel injector operation and signal
