My trailblazer is not reading when I put gas in it shows low fuel level...who knows what I need to do??

When I put gas in sometimes the needle moves,,,but it goes down to empty as I drive...

I would start by checking all the connections at the pump(tank) and the gauge.Especially ground wires.It could be an intermittent issue with power supply or worst case scenario, your sending unit may be shot.Even though vehicle runs and pump works , the fuel gauge sending unit may be faulty.The sending unit is part of the pump assembly. If you have a whole bunch of miles on that veh.it may be a good idea to change out the pump with a new one anyway.
