My 2006 HHR sounds like an airplane! Help

Sound,s like a airplane,hmmm hard to answer,could be a number of things,from motor,to a wheel bearing,to exhaust lay in the road a few mile,s back,and when you take off i want to know> :) jk. Need more info.to helpya,

It is your wheel bearing. Had the same problem about 3 months back and it cost me 400.00 big ones. Not an expense that I needed at that time. But the sound went away. I have been told that if you do not fix it, there is a possibility that your tire will come off while driving.

took it to the mechanic, checked wheel bearing, all okay. Airplane sound getting louder
