Access to HHR battery

Asked by GuruZQRS8 Nov 13, 2017 at 12:40 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet HHR LS FWD

Question type: General

Battery is dead. Cannot get rear door open. Cannot get key out of the ignition.
How do I get to the battery?

I looked it up on google, and most images are showing it in the spare tire depository. That is for a 2006, of course. Might possibly be for other years, but not sure. The spare tire is under the trunk cover, and under the extra storage container until the cover. It should be in the back to the left.
