I'm trying to figure out why one of the headlights went out on my Outback

Wiggle the connector. Make absolutely sure you do not dirty the bulb with oil or fingerprints. Some new bulbs can turn out to be defective.

Already tried those, with no luck! I'm wondering if the relay for thatheadlight could be bad or faulty and is causing the problem

check for corrosion on the connectors and also the socket that the bulb goes in and maybe a bad ground
