Early 2000s Outback head gasket issue

Can the head gasket issue of the early 2000s Outbacks be resolved by
replacing with the multi layered gaskets that resolved the issue in later years...
say 2007 and beyond?

Get the correct after market multi layer gaskets for your car which will help a lot. Make sure the heads are flat before installing the new gaskets.
