Did it start back up after it died?

If it still turns over trying a 2-3 second blast of starting fluid into the air intake, (past the filter). Then try to start it. If it starts and runs a few seconds on that starting fluid you know you have a fuel delivery problem...such as a clogged filter or bad fuel pump. Can you still hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on without starting the van? It could also be a bad fuel pressure regulator....or a batch of bad gas. If the starting fluid does not make any difference in the engine starting, your problem is in the ignition/electrical part of the engine.
