just bought first subaru--'03 Legacy L wagon--96000 miles--any hints or suggestions for long life?

How do I tell if my wagon has a cabin air filter?  Where would it be located?  Sticker on door frame says car has one, also sticker on glove box lid.  I pulled glove box(as on Nissans) but find no filter or space for one.   Owner's manual has no info.

If not behind the glove box then look under the cowl. It shouldl be under the passenger side if it has one.
