I have a Subaru Legacy 2003. It has just started to get really cold in the mornings were I live, about -2 And I have found whenever my car is cold and I turn the heater on, a fuel smell comes into the car.Once the car is warm it wont do it anymore.I have been googling the issue, and have seen that a few people say the fuel line may be to short and is retracting in the cold weather and then expanding again when it is hot (this would explain why it doesn't smell when the car is warm)It has been doing this for about two weeks now and I haven't gotten round to replacing the fuel line. This Morning as I was driving to work (it was very cold and frosty) the check engine light came on, it wasn't flashing. When I parked the car and checked it, it smelt very strongly of fuel.Would this fuel line problem be the cause of the CEL ? 1 Answer

I turned my 97 Subaru legacy 2.5gt off. When I tried to restart it everything was dead!!! It was like the battery wasn't hooked up. I took the keys out and walked in the house. I looked outside and the tail light were on and the front amber lights were on. I tried to start it and nothing. I cleaned the battery posts but it didn't help. I unhooked the positive cable and put the key in the ignition and turned it on in order to hook the positive cable up. It started just fine, however the running lights are still on and the dash lights are blinking! I turned the engine off and the running lights were still on and the dash lights were still blinking. I had to unhook the positive cable to stop this process. Can anybody out there point me in the right direction??? 1 Answer

I've had my car for sale for over a week. When I search for it it comes up fine. The problem is that under "Contact Seller" is my name and my email address. When I tried to respond to myself, nothing happened. I just called a friend who found the "Contact Seller" space without my name or email. He responded and it worked. Have a 1996 subaru legacy, CEL is on and has been. But , problem to ight was driving down our road pushed the petal down and all of a sudden it just quit. Went to turn the car back on and nothing... 2 Answers
It will turn over but just keep trying to start and wont. Changed coil pack and spark plugs a while back. I know people say fuel pump but I can hear it. So not sure if it's that...any opinions ......

Why does the radio in my 2018 Subaru Legacy not turn off immediately when I start the car....there’s at least a 5 sec delay before it shuts off. 1 Answer
Same goes for the radio volume....when I go to turn it down, again it takes at least 5 seconds to respond.
