I have a 95 2.2 i put in place of a 2001. 2.5 how do i make it run was told it would just hook up wrong. Now need help please.

I swapped a.95 2.2 with a 01 2.5 was told it would just hook up .they were wrong .
how.do i make it work?

Beings i already changed them out and am stuck with a 95 motor in a 01 that really does me no help but i doneed you all to tell me how to fix it so i can re coupe some money and never do this again

Js is right...just toss the car. He's also correct that some 1995 2.2 (esp in Ca and other states adopting CA emissions) had OBD2, but that's immaterial now. At the very least you'll have to change out the ECM...AND maybe a lot of emissions sensors (O2s, cat, etc.). I would part it out. Good luck. Ern TSG/B
