Our Subaru Legacy wagon  shakes
horribly @ 55 mph,  wjy

Bad wheel bearings, worn suspension, bad shocks, a bent wheel, bad tires etc.

Tire out of balance or engine misfire would be my guess. Is the check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel?
