Why is the car dying when the clutch is engaged?

Asked by Band_Aid91 Apr 10, 2018 at 05:12 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car dies right after it is started. When the
engine is cranked over it will idle up to 2000 RPMs
and drop down until it dies with in seconds. The
car also idles down until it dies, when the clutch is
engaged for long periods of time (for braking or
just idling).
