I Can't seem to fine the fusible link or inline fuse in
my car! I did an engine and tranny swap, new
battery and alternator and when I was done,
started the car, it was fine, drove it, it worked fine, I
got back home, turned it off, Nd it wouldn't start
after!! Fuses in fees box are good, electrical is all
hooked up right! Thou battery is kinda dead, it
starts with a boost, but as soon as I unhook
booster cables it turns off!! With a meter, battery
Voltage is 4.8, and voltage between starter and
alternator are 4.8! So I know it's the inline fuse, but
I can't find it for the life of me!!!! Do anyone know
where it's to?

It will start with a boost, I even left the cables kn it for like 5 mins after being started, and with the new alternator, it should start to charge on its own no?
No. If the battery has a shorted cell it won't take a charge at all. If it was an old battery all the movement etc while you were doing the engine swap probably finished it off. Try a different one or get a new one and I think your troubles will be over.
It was the inline fuse from the alternator to the starter! Thanks guys!!
Me too, considering I have to drive half way across the country in two days hahaha
I have a 2009 chevy cobalt. The battery light comes and goes. I have replaced the battery and the alternator replaced twice and after more search on internet I find that the inline fuse between alternator and battery could be going bad. where is the location?
