check your owner's manual would hazard to guess at 30,000 and at 60,000 miles...the 'service engine soon' light could possibly be for other reasons as well, have your diagnostic codes read, and possibly reset if the work has already been performed~

i did and it has 2 codes but dont have the money right now to get it fixed but inspection is due and my only way to and from work so wondering if there was a way to get the light to shut off long enough to get inspection then get it fixed by next inspection

well there is always "the black tape" solution...that's cheap enough...if you are looking for a fuse or way to disable the light underhandedly, could do that too, but just put up with it, if the cause is an evaporative error because you overfilled the tank...it will go away all by itself as soon as the charcoal canister stops swimming in fuel and some atmosphere can get in there~

get your diagnostic information read from an auto parts house such as NAPA, Kragen, Advance..oreileiys....all should read your diagnostics for free, if this one can be connected to OBD-II there is a cheap code reader that could be had for under fifteen bucks~
