96 subaru has a clunking noise while driving.

Asked by ironcobra2002 Dec 15, 2011 at 08:49 PM about the 1996 Subaru Legacy LS Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has a clunking noise while driving. The tires were different
sizes, so I made them all matching. The noise isn't as bad but
still there. If I put a fuse in the fwd slot. The noise goes away.
Any ideas?

Do you know what side of the car the noise comes from? It might be that your drive shaft has worn out or probably your rack ends (Front) are worn out too...
