2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Transmission Replacement

Asked by nathantimms Jan 30, 2019 at 07:23 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS with a
manual transmission.  I recently let my
younger brother borrow it for a few days
while his car was in the shop.  When I got
the car back he had somehow ruined the
transmission in it!  So I am looking for a
replacement tranny for it now.  I need to
know exactly what type the tranny is and
what all vehicles have compatible
transmissions in them so I will know for sure
that I get the correct one and everything will
go smoothly.
