Asked by xzander Mar 30, 2013 at 12:26 PM about the 2004 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS

Question type: Car Customization

I own a 04 impreza rs sedan automatic and I love the stanced look so I wanted to know with fender rolling and pulling if needed. coilovers and camber bolts. would this have any affect on my transmission. I have installed intake and muffler other then that its stock.

You have to keep the tires around the same size for the AWD system. You can go wider but you can't go taller on the back.

thanxs cus I saw a set 18x9.75 225/35 +20 offset that I want to buy I would be running it all the way around.

as long as all 4 tires diameters match it won't affect the transmission to throw on larger or smaller tires, it can however affect your spedometers accuracy and your fuel economy, with shouldn't affect anything accept for possibly rubbing the inner shoulder on the struts or chassis (etc.) without a large enough offset, and as long as your rolling and pulling your fender lip you shouldn't have to worry about the outter shoulder rubbing depending on how low your droping the car and cambering it.

Just remember though, if you go too extreme you start ruining other things. I have many friens who scrape right through their cross members, oil pans, tranny cases, and diffs because of their stanced craze.
