Need new all season tires, what do you recommend?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I live in a place that gets lots of rain, occassional snow (maybe 2 or 3 times a year) on Vancouver Island. (Think hills, curves, windy roads)
I have a 1999 Suburu Forester I just love! My strong, reliable, tiger footed beauty needs new tires, I would just like one set I can leave on (and rotate of course!). What do you recommend?
Sometimes I may need to drive up island in bad weather (about  2 hours away) but
I usually don't make many long road trips.
Thank you!
