Locate the 2.5 '99 engine anything else is a headache to change over, with so many Subaru engine woes.. maybe some Engine change EXPERT for Subaru's can assist you. As every Subaru forum has a lot of arguable engine swap opinions, as whether harnesses and computers are compatible from engine to engine and which years "work".
