I want to just rebuild/restore my forester

amount of power. Without a turbo looking
to get around 300 hp  haven't done a
motor swap before wpuld have to lookin to
buy motor and tranny unless I can reuse
another SUBARU motor ? Which style
forester can I rebuild into a sti forester ? Or
maybe a wrx forester ?

300 hp without a turbo? Install a small block Chevy! Seriously I have done a little research and there does not seem to be much in the way of hot rod parts for the SOHC 2.5 and the DOHC mods all seem to be turbo related. Try contacting a Subaru high performance specialist and see what they can do for you but be prepared for big costs and I doubt you will ever get near 300 hp.
