blowing out resistors for blower motor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced blower , it was bad. Resister burnt out, replaced it,that one burnt out,
replaced. What else can I replace ?

Check the fuse. But blower motor resistors are not reliable unless you get an OEM. replacement. I went threw 5 aftermarket resistors until I got one that is holding up.

was an actual Subaru part that melted? things tell me they would go open before starting on fire~ I might say test the Ground, perhaps we were running with hot connected to more HOT~ and ground was a wire hiding somewhere~ really needs a true ground to not go burnin' up on ya~

Check vents to ensure that they're not clogged with a rodent nest or leaves, as you may be overheating the resistor pack, as it's collled by the fan flow over it.
