Van won't start

I just bought 1997 Pontiac Trans Sport. Went to go
start my Van after letting it sit after Grocery shopping
and it won't start. I have spark from Battery when
jumped but it won't fire. Also have radio and lights

OK I have an appointment to go to a mechanic tomorrow with free tow with repair. How much am I looking at for a starter?
