I have a 2006 Grand Prix gt supercharged. My car has been killing while driving it. I can drive a short distance then it just cut off while driving. I have change the fuel pump, catilac converter, relays and battery and altanator. Today I started my car went to the store came out and it wouldn't start anymore. Does anyone have a clue on this situation?
When you replaced the fuel pump, did you replace it with the OEM unit or like an Airtex unit??
Interesting-- it sounds like you may have a dying pump or a clogged injector-- the reason why I asked which brand of pump did you replace it with is, it is a known fact that the airtex pumps are prone to immediate failure (note: this does not mean ALL airtex pumps fail- just most of them). Also, does the car have a check engine light??
Have it scanned for trouble codes and have the fuel system pressure tested to make sure your replacement pump is working properly. While its unlikely, its possible you may have a faulty pump, so you need to eliminate that as a problem. Most likely the computer will have a stored trouble code that will lead you to the problem.
