Asked by Wayne Aug 11, 2017 at 10:59 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Car Customization

I really wanna keep the 06 Grand Prix in the family
but want to make it a project. Something to do after
work in my shop. Something to get my boys
interested in. Would love to know what to do to get
a straight 6 under the hood

Do you have $50,000 or more to do this project? Just put a correct engine in it.

F_O_R is right. to get a straight 6 in there the firewall would have to be moved back, and then you'll have to carve out a transmission tunnel since your FWD car never had one. Unless your father-son project is to teach your boys new swear words, pick a more reasonable project.
