There is the alternator, and water pump and whatever else that belt goes around, how do I know which one is making the noise, to my war sounds like the alternator but how do I find out for sure without taking to a mechanic

To see if it's this Pulley, SPRAY WD40 on the back side of the pulley, not the belt. if the noise stops then its this pulley...

Take the belt off and turn the pulleys by hand. If one doesn't turn very easily replace it.
