1994 C-4. Headlight door operations

I have a 1994 C-4. Sometimes when I turn the headlights on or off they open or
close properly but seem to continue to recycle like something is continuing to
close or open the door after it has done. It always operates properly just
sometimes this recycling happens.  It will always happen if I disconnect the
battery and then hook it back up without touching the light switch.

gears on the motor need replacing. I done it on a 91 vette and not that bad at all and can get replacement gears on amazon
