Asked by Paddie Nov 12, 2013 at 06:10 AM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When tried to start car with an automatic starter, car alarm went off. Put the key in ignition to manual start and warning sign "Service Theft System" came on. Then "Low Fuel" and "Charging System Failure" showed. Car dead. Tried to charge battery but would not start. Had to roll car out onto street. Once parked, another warning came on "Startling diabled due to Electronic Throttle Control". Now key is stuck in ignition.

The key cylinder where your key goes has failed you could leave the ignition switch in the on position for 12 minutes and then go back to off and then start to see if it will crank if not you will have to have a new ignition switch installed
