boost

Asked by 1964sparky Dec 31, 2018 at 09:57 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Car Customization

Does computer on 2004 GTP have  over boost protection built in? I have a GTP Comp G that bran fine until I install a  very small pulley on S.C. Now it seems like its running lean and possibly retarding timing.

Over speeding the supercharger can lead to problems like too much boost, detonation and engine destruction. You may need to install larger injectors and remap the ECU.
