What does charging system fauilar mean and will it cause ur car not to start

The charging system is the alternator/voltage regulator, battery, and circuitry. If it's not working the battery can't maintain its charge and will eventually die. Obviously with a dead battery your car will not start. Get it jumped and let a parts store do their free test on the charging system.
