Car cranks in accessory
I have an 04 pontiac grand prix and the car is all of
a sudden the car is cranking when I put the key to
accessory mode. I have changed the bcm as well
as the alternator fuel pump and the ignition. I have
looked online to find similar things going on and
there is nothing. I'm at a loss it's a great car but I
feel like I'm grasping at straws with this .
Did you replace the ignition lock cylinder?
Yes the ignition was the whole unit
and that included the ignition switch?
Yes
Check starting relay?
Put a new one in
Also checked all the grounds tested all the wires tested all the fuses and relays
You can see positions for ignition switch. The zero means no voltage, in that position. The one means voltage, in that position. If ignition 1 relay is not energized, the crank relay won't do anything. Just my opinion.
