My car overheats after replacing the

Can you confirm you have any kind of flow through the radiator, or that the water pump is cycling coolant? Open the radiator cap (with engine cold) and watch coolant in radiator get sucked down when thermostat opens once engine reaches operating temp. When that happens you should also see coolant flow out of internal radiator tubes. If not, you have a possible bad water pump.

Water pump was replaced before last winter. I'm bleeding the air from atop the thermostat housing right now.
