Is there a check engine light on? Sounds like you may just need a tune up or at least a new fuel filter. The GPs use inline filters rather than internal filters in the pump, so this should be an easy fix and makes a world of difference when a car's stumbling on acceleration. Also keep the air filter clean and fresh as well. You may also need to clean the throttle body with some carb cleaner as they can gunk up over time. Lastly, if you're so inclined, do a top engine clean with SeaFoam (google Seafoam top engine clean for a video). All of these are inexpensive fixes, and should bring your Prix's acceleration back up to par. 150K is nothing for a GP...if cared for and maintained you can get 150K more miles from it.

But first do some proper diagnostics. Have it scanned for trouble codes. The computer often knows what's wrong and just needs to be asked.
