Modern automobile electrical systems are extremely sensitive. Have your battery checked. A weak one will do weird things electrically to your car even though it is still strong enough to start your car. The gauges and power steering on my Cobalt would come and go randomly. I replaced the battery and all the problems went away. ... just a thought.
