Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car is turned off I walk away the keys
are in my hand and there is a rapid clicking
sound that sounds like it's coming from
under the hood when the car is completely
turned off the keys are in my hand and it
lasts for about 30 seconds or so or probably
even longer

It sounds like it's coming from both sides


when I open the driver's door it'll click
sometimes really fast and then It will shut
off

And then when I close the door after driving
it a while lock the door walkaway


Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick

Fast ticking sound

Coming from my console and underneath
the hood

It's driving me freaking nuts

It's a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Help please

It's not the catalytic converter okay it's coming from inside of the car with my keys in my hand when I walk away on the dash Anna from inside of the car under the hood it's a computerized ticking sound with the keys in my hand the door is closed Not even driving it it just sitting there taking

I can unlock the door open the door not even run the car open the door and the ticking sound would start instantly for a couple of seconds then not even starting the car close the door and it'll be the ticking sound on the passenger side what the f*** is going on with this car that you guys made from Pontiac I'm starting to get really angry about it

Calm yourself and find the problem. It's not our fault or Pontiac's fault. There's simply something wrong with your car. Start by trying to isolate the problem as has been suggested. Also scan it for trouble codes. You may need to find a decent shop to trace the problem and repair it. I wouldn't just ignore it.
