Harmonic Balancer Won't Budge

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Followup to a question from yesterday: Balancer on my Grand Prix
separated and needed to be replace. The outer pulley actually fell off prior
to filming the video below.

Anyway: got the bolt off fairly easy. Took off the tire, ran some bolts
through the puller and into the harmonic balancer. Started to tighten it and
this (video below) happened. The thing just rotates in place. I was worried
part of the bolt broke off, but i shined a flashlight in there and there's
nothing. Bolt looks clean. How is this thing staying on? I tried to pry it off a
few times, as well a jamming the thing with a screwdriver and then turning
turn it (wouldn't move a centimeter)

Anyone have any idea whats going on? Thanks.

You are turning the whole engine. You need to figure out a way to keep it from turning while you tighten the puller. Can you jamb a giant screwdriver in there somewhere to keep it from turning? If you have access to an impact gun that will likely do it without blocking it. Have you you tubed this repair? I'm guessing some mechanic somewhere has addressed this and made a video.
