The only way to determine if the MAFsensor is faulty is to scan it.The maf gives the PCM two readings, one is grms/sec the other is Hz reading,if the Herz reading is missing the engine will still run but will have a slight hesitation and fuel economy will be down, you can clean all you want but until you know what it is sending to the PCM(power control module) you are basically spining your wheels.Get it scanned.

a faulty sensor will throw a code not a dirty none so if your wiring is good you'll have to replace it try a used one though as they are easy to get at and i've never personally seen one fail.
